Your workplace

At European Government, the 300 daily guests, mainly expats from all european countries, can enjoy delicious coffee, lunches and banqueting parties. As much sustainable food and drink as possible is served at European Government. This venue is open Monday to Friday between 07:00 - 18:00.

Your team

The team at the venue is fairly large and consists of 8-10 hard-working colleagues. Together, they make sure our guests lack for nothing. In addition, the team enjoys socialising and are real team players.

Your job

You're done with school, but you haven't finished learning. Above all, you want to gain practical experience in a nice kitchen and learn the tricks of the trade from the professionals. We find it important that our apprentices really participate. Instead of standing on the sidelines, they work together with colleagues to create the perfect eating and drinking experience for our guests. During your traineeship, you will discover your talents and learn all the ins and outs of the culinary profession.

What will you learn with us?

  • Creating the most beautiful dishes with all the techniques involved.
  • Planning efficiently and effectively
  • Matching products to guests' wishes and thinking about the menu.
  • Commercial skills to buy cost-conscious products.
  • Safety regulations and guidelines on hygiene and working conditions.

Your growth

We find it especially important that you grow and get the best out of yourself. Together, we look at what you want to learn and how we can help you do that. Besides good supervision at your work placement company, you can also take a look at other Vermaat catering locations. With around 400 locations, there are enough possibilities and opportunities for you to stay on after your apprenticeship or come back after school.

Your ingredients

  • You are following a kitchen-related BBL training course.
  • You are flexible and creative and have a real love for the culinary profession.
  • You want to learn THE tricks of the trade from our professionals.
  • You are available for a minimum of 24 hours per week.
