CBRE is the world’s largest commercial real estate and investment advisor. They manage real estate in more than 100 countries, working on the real estate solutions of tomorrow. In Amsterdam, CBRE owns the two WTC towers. Vermaat is a proud partner in providing food and beverages at both locations.
We operate in a dynamic multi-tenant location with various tenants. Within WTC Amsterdam, we manage several outlets. For example, we have our restaurant, “Changing Dishes,” where we offer a unique culinary experience with daily changing cuisines, including Mediterranean, Eastern European, and Asian dishes. Additionally, we provide banqueting services throughout the WTC, offering vegetarian and vegan options, fully in line with Vermaat’s Foodvision 2027. We welcome around 200 guests daily, both business visitors and leisure guests, who come to enjoy delicious meals at our vibrant location in Amsterdam’s Zuidas. Working days are from Monday to Friday, with variable working hours.
Your Team
With a large team of dedicated colleagues, we serve our guests across various locations: the restaurant Changing Dishes, the lunch spot Brood Baas, the banqueting service, and the Firebird Cocktail Bar with a view over Amsterdam! No matter where you work, together we ensure an excellent hospitality experience at this vibrant multi-tenant location.
As a Sous chef at WTC, Amsterdam, you support the head chef in the daily management of the kitchen team. We work with food concepts, which means you work within the set frameworks but also have the freedom to showcase your recipes. Every day, you challenge yourself to offer guests variety with creativity, attention to detail, and knowledge of different cuisines. You are constantly vigilant about the quality of the dishes leaving the kitchen. You are also responsible for the administrative part of the kitchen. This includes ensuring HACCP compliance, timely ordering, and accurately mapping allergens.
Because you work as a Sous chef in corporate hospitality, you know better than anyone what your guests want to see on the menu. You speak, see, and hear them!
As a Sous chef, you play an important role in training and guiding the kitchen team, and you ensure good cooperation between the kitchen and service staff. Your passion for cooking and leadership skills help make every shift a success and keep guest satisfaction high.
