Sous Chef Banqueting WTC

Your workplace

Our client is CBRE, but we are a multi tenant location with multiple tenants. Our restaurant is called "Changing Dishes" and has a similar concept to La Place. We do not have an espresso bar, due to nearby Stach branch. We provide banqueting throughout the WTC. We offer vegetarian and vegan options according to Foodvision. Every day, 175 guests, both business and leisure, come here to enjoy delicious food at our Amsterdam Zuidas location. Working days Monday to Friday and working hours vary.

Your team

With a team of seven, we serve our guests, but we will grow through new outlets in the adjacent tower of the WTC. Soon we will open a Bread Boss, Stach, rooftop bar and provide catering for Hof Amsterdam.

Your job

In this role, you will be ultimately responsible for the kitchen. You will be given a completely free hand in the kitchen. Room for your creativity is definitely guaranteed. You can also apply trends in the food field (which you actively follow, of course) in this kitchen, because we only welcome renewal and innovation. You really help to establish the concept and monitor the quality of everything that leaves the kitchen.

Together with your colleagues, you will really form a team. You lead the kitchen brigade, take care of administration, do the shopping and make the schedules. Both culinary and organisational, you are the indispensable link in the kitchen. You share your love of cooking with the team and encourage them to be creative too. You also bring an overview and calm to the kitchen.

Your ingredients

  • You have experience in managing a kitchen brigade.
  • You have good knowledge of allergies, dietary requirements, food trends and preparation times, and know how to put this knowledge to practical use.
  • You have knowledge of HACCP, health and safety regulations.
  • You know what is going on in the world of food and drink and like to translate developments and innovations to your kitchen.
  • You prefer to work with a lot of freedom and your own input and ideas (your 'personal touch').
