Here, you are the first point of contact for guests alongside Vermaat: from a warm welcome at the reception to the perfect cappuccino at the espresso bar. The location is full of energy and easily accessible by public transport and bike. Together with our client Luna ArenA, you create a welcoming atmosphere where people immediately feel at home. It’s a versatile place where dynamism and conviviality come together.

The concept is all-round hospitality: a stylish espresso bar, a buffet restaurant serving fresh lunches, and extensive banqueting for meetings and events. Think flavorful sandwiches, salads, hot dishes, and, of course, top-quality coffee. You work in a small, close-knit team of colleagues who are hands-on and supportive of each other. Together, you deliver a complete guest experience that matches this modern, lively venue.

Your job

As a Head chef at Luna ArenA, Amsterdam, you literally and figuratively showcase your recipe. We work with a food concept, which means you work within set frameworks but also have the freedom to present your own recipes. Every day, you challenge yourself to offer guests variety with creativity, attention to detail, and knowledge of different cuisines. You are constantly vigilant about the quality of the dishes leaving the kitchen. You are also responsible for the administrative part of the kitchen. This includes ensuring HACCP compliance, timely ordering, and accurately mapping allergens.

Because you work as a Head chef in corporate hospitality, you know better than anyone what your guests want to see on the menu. You speak, see, and hear them! As a Head chef, you work closely with management to develop new culinary concepts and continuously improve the guest experience. Your creativity, leadership qualities, and passion for cooking ensure that our kitchen always performs at a high level.

Your ingredients

  • The kitchen is your domain. Over the past years, you have developed into a fully-fledged chef and have at least 3 years of;
  • You know how to lead your team in a coaching manner; only together can you truly move forward;
  • Regulations in the areas of HACCP, occupational health and safety, and security hold no secrets for you;
  • You know how to get things done. This means you keep up the pace during busy times and always maintain high quality;
  • With your creativity, you know how to surprise both the guest and yourself time and again;
  • You can provide a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) upon request
