  • 3 thematic restaurants (+3000 guests per day)
  • 3 convenience corners (+1000 guests per day)
  • 3 coffee bars and 1 tea bar (+1000 guests per day)

  • Catering and events

Your team

We are seeking a General Manager with a proven track record for the key Booking.com Campus. You will elevate hospitality alongside our operational management team. If you have substantial experience in improving hospitality and operational excellence, and have worked in a highly demanding, flexible, and creative environment, then this job is for you!

Your job

As General Manager at Join Program, you will lead the strategic development of the food offering at the Booking.com location in Amsterdam. Your crucial role includes promoting strategic collaborations, leadership over more than 100 employees, and creating a positive work environment. As a sparring partner for the Join Program management, you proactively contribute to new initiatives. You collaborate with the Booking.com Food Curator and the Food Curator team to bring innovative culinary experiences to life, ensuring quality and innovation. Financially, you are responsible for the success of the site, including budget management and achieving financial targets. In short, you are the driving force behind the success of our location in Amsterdam. 

Stakeholder management

  • You ensure proactive and timely communication with your stakeholders, including the Booking Real Estate Workplace Service team, our on-site operational management team, and the supporting Join Program team.
  • You ensure timely and transparent communication with the Real Estate Workplace Services team to foster and further improve a great partnership.  
  • You embrace flexibility and agility, seamlessly navigating a dynamic environment to deliver outstanding results for the client.  
  • You are experienced in developing Food Concepts, and do this in collaboration with our client and our Join Program team to bring it to the next level.  
  • You evaluate on both strategic and tactical levels. Based on user and client feedback, you lead goals into a concrete roadmap and actions.  
  • You embrace Join Program’s vision and concept to engage and develop team members to their fullest potential. Ensure individual and team performance and happiness meets objectives and client expectations.

Leadership and innovation

  • You stimulate and inspire a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.  
  • You maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationships.  
  • You identify client needs and communicate tactical and operational progress.
  • You focus on continuous improvement and innovation using Join Program’s creative and unique iterative process.   
  • You set up and lead the strategic and tactical meeting structure with the Booking team.  
  • You are responsible for preparing and leading the Quarterly Business Reviews; you record these and turn them into concrete actions.  
  • You are keen on the latest trends and innovation and, with our formula management and food curators, translate these into updated services and food offerings.

Commercial, financial, and datamanagement

  • You are responsible for the financial results of the site and ensure the accurate and timely completion of P&L statements.  
  • You are data driven: you support your choices with clear operational and financial data to ensure the right decisions are made.  
  • You educate the management team on using data to improve daily service and commercial performance.
  • You deliver on agreed client and company business metrics and financial targets.  

Your ingredients

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in leadership positions within the hospitality industry.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a similar role, leading a large team.
  • Experience in stakeholder management with strategic partners.
  • Proven success in developing and managing food and hospitality concepts.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Vision for sustainable and future-proof food concepts.
