De Haagse Poort is an iconic office building located in the Beatrixkwartier, the main business district of The Hague. The building consists of a 16-storey tower and a 7-storey low-rise and serves an international, demanding clientele.
On several floors, we deliver a high-end hospitality concept for employees and their guests. These spaces are designed for calm, comfort and discretion, where important meetings take place and service excellence is essential. Together with your team, you provide full-service hospitality — from a perfectly prepared coffee to a refined three-course dinner, from an intimate drink to a professionally organised event. You know how to go the extra mile to truly impress guests.
For the same client, we also operate a convenience store that is continuously evolving. Fresh, high-quality products and ease of use are key. Do you have ideas to elevate service or guest experience even further? You will have the freedom to bring them to life here.
De Haagse Poort also offers a wide range of hospitality outlets. Guests can enjoy quality coffee and sandwiches at STACH or the espresso bar, relax with a drink and lunch in the Grand Café or restaurant, and make use of our catering services for meetings, events and receptions throughout the building. All concepts align with the Vermaat Food Vision 2027, focusing on healthier choices with more fibre, less salt and minimal sugar.
You will work for a high-end client alongside a professional and committed team. Together with the banqueting manager, the chef and a fellow host(ess), you are responsible for delivering a seamless, end-to-end hospitality experience. Hospitality is at the heart of everything you do.
You will also collaborate closely with the reception team, who manage bookings and provide the first point of contact for guests. Clear communication is essential, and you understand the importance of strong teamwork in an environment where precision and timing matter.
English is the working language, both with the client and within the team.

As a Senior Host(ess), you are the trusted face of an international, high-performance office environment where pace and expectations are high. You approach your work with a strong service mindset and remain calm, professional, and welcoming — even when pressure rises or communication becomes direct. With your experience, you maintain overview and ensure everything runs smoothly.
You welcome and guide guests, respond to questions proactively, and safeguard the presentation of meeting rooms and reception areas. You are resilient, adapt quickly, and take ownership when needed. You work independently, while always keeping quality and collaboration front of mind.

Your ingredients
- You ensure a welcoming and professional experience, making guests feel at ease from the moment they arrive.
- With a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, you know how to handle different situations and expectations with confidence.
- You have a strong eye for detail, listen actively, and anticipate guests’ needs, often before they are voiced.

- You take ownership of your responsibilities and ensure a smooth, reliable, and high-quality service.
