Your workplace

The Uber location is centrally located in Amsterdam Zuid. Our daily service includes providing breakfast, lunch, a delicious snack, and maintaining and replenishing pantries for around 600 guests. We also offer mega drinks every Thursday and, upon request, facilitate other events for Uber's guests. In addition to preparing and serving innovative dishes, we place great importance on sustainability and waste reduction. This location is open Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 19:00, excluding events.

Your team

We are a dynamic team of around 30 enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds and nationalities. Together, we strive to bring out the best in each other every day. Our colleagues come from all over the world, which makes for an inspiring and instructive environment. Our work is varied and challenging. We have different tasks and responsibilities, and we change roles regularly to keep things interesting and varied. No two days are ever the same! Besides hard work, we value a good atmosphere. We laugh together, share knowledge and learn from each other every day. Our team is a mix of experienced professionals and newcomers, and we believe this diversity contributes to our success. We are looking for a motivated team player who likes to contribute to our success story. Someone who is open to new challenges, takes initiative and can work well together. Experience is nice, but we also appreciate eagerness to learn and a positive attitude.

Your job

As a Chef at Uber, Amsterdam, you literally and figuratively showcase your recipe. At Vermaat, we work with food concepts, which means you operate within set frameworks but also have the freedom to present your own recipes. Every day, you support the kitchen team to ensure that guests are always the main focus. You are eager to learn and strive to improve a little more every day.

Your ingredients

  • The kitchen is your domain. You already have some experience, but you strive to keep improving your skills.
  • You are curious and follow instructions from your colleagues carefully.
  • Regulations regarding HACCP, health and safety hold no secrets for you.
  • You have a hands-on mentality and understand that we sometimes work during peak moments.
  • With your creativity, you continuously surprise our guests.
  • You can provide a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) upon request.
