You work in the heart of Amsterdam, where a wide variety of guests drop by. Managing expectations is therefore crucial, but makes the work enormously fun and challenging. In summer, we have a large terrace where guests can order delicious bites and dishes while sipping cocktails. In winter, Rouhi is really a destination for guests and we focus on menus and high quality service and dishes.
We are in House of Rituals and have an excellent partnership with Rituals. Besides our regular guests, we serve lunch and dinner for guests who have just had a treatment or prepare dinners for 10 to 80 people who have just come from a meeting. So we are at home in all markets.
The Rouhi team is a big family, where everyone is heard. We help each other where necessary and do not hesitate to step outside our comfort zone to help colleagues. For instance, the kitchen staff sometimes serves food and the service team helps finish dishes. Nothing is left unsaid and fairness is high on our list of priorities.
As a Chef de Partie at House of Rituals, Amsterdam, you literally and figuratively showcase your recipe. At Vermaat, we work with food concepts, which means you operate within established frameworks while also having the freedom to apply your own creativity. Every day, you challenge yourself to offer guests variety through creativity, attention to detail, and knowledge of different cuisines. You remain vigilant about the quality of the dishes leaving the kitchen. Additionally, you are responsible for the administrative aspects of the kitchen, ensuring that HACCP guidelines are followed, orders are placed on time, and allergens are properly documented.
