Your workplace

Welcome to our restaurant on the second floor of the museum! Enjoy our various dishes, such as hummus, mac & cheese, quinoa salad and other vegan options. We also have an espresso bar, where we serve cocktails in addition to coffee. Our guests are mainly leisure visitors. We welcome more than 800 guests daily. Stop by from 10:00 to 18:00 and experience our culinary creations in beautiful surroundings!

Your team

The van Gogh museum has a large team of 15 colleagues who ensure that museum visitors have delicious food and drinks before continuing their visit.

Your job

'Good afternoon!' You got out of bed on the right foot and feel like having a blast. You discuss with colleagues what everyone's 'neighbourhood' is in the restaurant. You are given responsibility for a number of tables. You take orders, chat with guests, check out and make sure guests walk out the door feeling satisfied after their visit. They are hugely satisfied with your friendly service, you've received some big compliments. Hero! Of course, in between times you clear tables and signal immediately when someone is ready to order something new. And if, despite all your good will and efforts, there is a complaint, you handle it neatly.

Your ingredients

  • Preferably, you already have some hospitality experience, but you can also join us as an up-and-coming talent. In any case, you feel at home in the hospitality industry.
  • You know that working in hospitality can be physically demanding.
  • Diverse guests, flexible working hours and making the guests' outing complete with a fine hospitality experience; working in the leisure sector is right up your street.
  • You always go the extra mile. Especially when it comes to service and hospitality.
  • Love goes through the stomach when it comes to food & drink.
