Your workplace

You will be working at Join Program for our client Booking.com. The Booking.com city campus is the new HQ in Amsterdam. From 1 May 2023 over 4,000 Booking.com employees will start working in their new building. As their catering partner, Join Program will provide all F&B services in this amazing office. We will run 3 restaurants, 3 espresso bars, a tea bar, over 40 breakout areas and a huge events department. We’ll make sure our guests enjoy amazing food & drinks each and every day.   
The location is open from Monday to Friday and offers a variety of activities. The event space area is also available at weekends on request.  

The Campus will be opening in May 2023, so we’re looking for employees who are available from April or earlier for an onboarding programme at one of our five existing locations.   You’ll kickstart your job with our three-week onboarding programme, including online e-learning about HACCP procedures and allergies. You’ll be ready to start after these first weeks! You can enjoy a good and healthy lunch every day and we organise teambuilding activities such as a festival, New Year drinks and much more, several times a year.

We work every day with more than 150 motivated, international colleagues from all over the world. Our teams are very diverse, with people of all ages, backgrounds, and nationalities. We are always looking for people who enjoy learning in an international team, are highly motivated to work, and like helping each other do what we do best: serving great food and drinks and delivering top-level service with happy people. Experience is less important than a genuine sense of hospitality and a love for food.

Your job

As a Barista at Booking.com, Amsterdam | Campus, you start each morning with a smile and a fresh dose of energy. You are responsible for preparing a variety of coffee drinks, from a perfect espresso to a silky latte. But you do more than just make coffee: you create a warm, welcoming atmosphere, advise guests on their choices, and occasionally surprise them with new flavors.

In addition to your role at the coffee machine, you assist with restocking supplies, keeping the bar in order, and maintaining the coffee machines. You are the coffee specialist that guests love to return to.

Your ingredients

  • Experience as a barista or bar assistant is a plus, but your passion and eagerness to learn are just as important.
  • A proactive, guest-oriented attitude: you go the extra mile to create a memorable experience for guests.
  • Basic knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, and milk frothing—or the motivation to learn this with us.
  • Attention to detail and hygiene: you ensure everything is always clean and spotless.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work varying shifts, including weekdays or when events are taking place.
