Started in 1978 as a delicatessen shop, we have now grown into the leading specialist in tailored hospitality and one of the largest hospitality employers in the Netherlands, with more than 500 locations across the country. Our hospitality services are almost always housed under someone else’s roof: within various companies, at airports, in museums, hospitals, zoos, and much more.

Compass Group en Vermaat:

Compass Group and Vermaat have recently joined forces to become one organisation. With this step, we combine our strengths in catering, hospitality, and facility services. Both companies remain recognisable with their own brands, but from now on work closely together. This allows us to offer our services in more locations and better respond to the needs of our guests and clients.

We offer a large and diverse network of locations in both catering and facility management. Whether you prefer working in a restaurant, kitchen, coffee bar, cleaning team, or technical services, there is always a role that suits you. Food vision

At Vermaat, we have been committed for years to making the world of food and drink healthier, more sustainable, and more social. More than ten years ago, we started our program for Socially Responsible Entrepreneurship, and in 2018, this became our Food Vision 2022. Over the past years, we have made great progress, but we also see that there is still much to achieve. For the coming five years, we have set ambitious new goals, which are outlined in our Food Vision 2027.

Vermaat Innovations

The world of food and drink is changing rapidly. And we are changing along with it. In fact, we are ahead of the curve. We invest a lot of time and energy in innovations to make tomorrow’s life easier, more enjoyable, or tastier. This makes Vermaat a pioneer in circular hospitality concepts, the benchmark in measuring our footprint, and a frontrunner in leading-edge concepts.
